$1.3B set aside for infrastructure for other modes of transportation

These funds are mainly dedicated to the Local Road Assistance Program for the maintenance and improvement of a large share of Quebec’s road infrastructure under municipal responsibility, to the upgrading of wharves and terminals at the L’Isle-aux-Coudres to Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive ferry crossing, and to the replacement of the government fleet of vehicles and rolling equipment under the responsibility of the Centre de gestion de l’équipement roulant.

With the addition of this new $1.3B allocation to the Maritime, air, rail and other transportation sector, total investments of $6.3B are now planned in this sector of the Québec Infrastructure Plan (QIP) 2026-2036.
